Year “Tet” Festival:
Falling every year in late January or early February,
the Tet Festival consists of the Lion Dance, musical
and dance performances, fashion shows, and game and
food booths. This event kicks off the Vietnamese lunar
New Year and brings the community together in celebration.
This Festival falls on the fifteenth day of the eighth
month on the lunar calendar (September/October) and
is a time to celebrate children. Families come out to
this event and enjoy the cultural performances, games,
and colorful lanterns.
This event observes April 30 as the anniversary of the
Fall of Saigon and the moment when Vietnamese refugees
began to leave Vietnam in search for freedom.
